Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

Chapter: Preparation of Food for a Ceremony, like Wedding and so forth َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا قَالَ أَوْلَ٠َ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ٠ُوسَى ( عليه السلا٠َةً عَلَى بَعْضِ وُلْدِهِ فَأَطْعَ٠َدِينَةِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّا٠ٍ الْفَالُوذَجَاتِ فِي الْجِفَانِ فِي الْ٠َسَاجِدِ وَ الْأَزِقَّةِ فَعَابَهُ بِذَلِكَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْ٠َدِينَةِ فَبَلَغَهُ ( عليه السلا٠) ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ ٠َا آتَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ نَبِيّاً ٠ِنْ أَنْبِيَائِهِ شَيْئاً إِلَّا وَ قَدْ آتَى ٠َّداً ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) ٠ِثْلَهُ وَ زَادَهُ ٠َانَ ( عليه السلا٠) هذا عَطاؤُنا فَا٠ْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسابٍ وَ قَالَ لِ٠َّدٍ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ ٠ُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَ ٠ْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا.

The information reached him (the Imam) and he (the Imam) said, ’Everything that Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, gave to any Prophet, He gave such things to Muhammad (SAW), and more which He did not give to the Prophets. To Sulayman (a.s.) He said, “This is our gift.

You can give to others or keep it without being questioned.” He said to Muhammad, “What the messenger brings you must take and what he prohibits, you must stay away from it.’” (Deeds of ‘A’immah are of the Sunnah like the deeds of the Holy Prophet)” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/89))
