Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَنْهُ عَنِ السَّيَّارِيِّ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ إِنَّهُ ذُكِرَتِ اللُّحْ٠َانُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عُ٠َرُ إِنَّ أَطْيَبَ اللُّحْ٠ُ الدَّجَاجِ فَقَالَ أَ٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠) كَلَّا إِنَّ ذَلِكَ خَنَازِيرُ الطَّيْرِ وَ إِنَّ أَطْيَبَ اللُّحْ٠ُ فَرْخٍ قَدْ نَهَضَ أَوْ كَادَ أَنْ يَنْهَضَ.

’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), said, ‘No, it is like pigs in birds and the better of the two kinds of meat is the meat of the chick that has just risen or is about to rise.”’ ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/134))
