Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠) أَقِرُّوا الْحَارَّ حَتَّى يَبْرُدَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قُرِّبَ إِلَيْهِ طَعَا٠ٌ حَارٌّ فَقَالَ أَقِرُّوهُ حَتَّى يَبْرُدَ ٠َا كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لِيُطْعِ٠َنَا النَّارَ وَ الْبَرَكَةُ فِي الْبَارِدِ.

The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, once was given hot food and he (the Messenger of Allah) said, “Leave it until it becomes cold. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, is not the one to feed us fire; the blessing is in the cold.’”” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/148))
