Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْخَزَّازِ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ إِنَّ الْعَقْرَبَ لَسَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فَقَالَ لَعَنَكِ اللَّهُ فَ٠ِلْحِ فَدَلَكَهُ فَهَدَتْثُ٠َّ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠َعَهُ دِرْيَاقاً.

He (the Messenger of Allah) then asked for salt and rubbed it on the bitten place and it calmed down. Abu Ja’far (a.s.), then said, ‘Had people known that which is in salt they would not seek another antidote.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/155))
