Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ أَ٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠َا افْتَقَرَ أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ يَأْتَدِ٠ُونَ بِالْخَلِّ وَ الزَّيْتِ وَ ذَلِكَ أُدْ٠ُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ ( عليه٠7.

Through the same chain of narrators as that of the previous Hadith the following is narrated: “’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘A family that uses vinegar and oil as their sauce, never becomes needy; it is the sauce of the Prophets, ‘Alayhim al-Salam.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/157))
