Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ كَانَتْ نَخْلَةُ ٠) الْعَجْوَةَ وَ نَزَلَتْ فِي كَانُونَ وَ نَزَلَ ٠) الْعَتِيقُ وَ الْعَجْوَةُ وَ ٠ِنْهَا تَفَرَّقَ أَنْوَاعُ النَّخْلِ. 12.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘The palm tree of Mary was al-‘Ajwah which was sent in the month of Kanun (one of the months of winter). With Adam al-‘Atiq and al- ‘Ajwah were sent, from these other kinds of palm trees spread.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/183))
