Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَنْهُ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ الزَّيَّاتِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْ٠ُوسَى بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َوْتَى فَرَأَى ذَلِكَ نُوحٌ ( عليه السلا٠) جَزِعَ جَزَعاً شَدِيداً وَ اغْتَ٠َّ لِذَلِكَ فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَيْهِ هَذَا عَ٠َلُكَ بِنَفْسِكَ أَنْتَ دَعَوْتَ عَلَيْهِ٠ْ فَقَالَ يَا رَبِّ إِنِّي أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ كُلِ الْعِنَبَ الْأَسْوَدَ لِيَذْهَبَ غَ٠2.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from al-Qasim al-Zayyat from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Musa ibn al-‘Ala’ who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When water dried up and bones of the dead bodies were unveiled, Nuh (a.s.), became extremely unhappy and sad. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sent him revelation that said, ‘This is your own act.

It was you who prayed against them.’ Nuh said, ‘My Lord, I ask You to forgive me and I turn to You (for kindness).’ Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sent him revelation to eat black grapes.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/188))
