Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َنْ أَكَلَ حَبَّةً ٠ْرَضَتْ شَيْطَانَ الْوَسْوَسَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْ٠8.

Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one eats a grain of pomegranate it makes the Satan of temptation sick for forty days.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/192))
