Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا لَسَعَ إِنْسَاناً ٠ِنْ أَهْلِ الدَّارِ حَيَّةٌ أَوْ عَقْرَبٌ قَالَ اسْقُوهُ سَوِيقَ التُّفَّاحِ. 8.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Whenever a poisonous thing like snake or scorpion would bite anyone in the family he (the Imam) would say, ‘Make him drink sawiq of apples.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/196))
