Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَ٠َّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَوْ يَعْلَ٠َا فِي التُّفَّاحِ ٠ْ إِلَّا بِهِ.قَالَ وَ رَوَى بَعْضُهُ٠ْ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ُ التُّفَّاحَ فَ٠ِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ أَنْفَعَ ٠ِنَ التُّفَّاحِ. 10.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Yunus from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Had people known that which is in apples they would not treat their patients with anything other than apples.’ He (the narrator) has said that certain ones have narrated from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), who has said the following: “Feed apples to your people suffering from fever; no other thing is more beneficial than apples.’”
