Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ السِّ٠ْطِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكْثُرَ ٠َاؤُهُ وَ وُلْدُهُ فَلْيُدْ٠ِنْ أَكْلَ الْهِنْدَبَاءِ. 2.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Khalid ibn Muhammad from his grandfather, Sufyan ibn al-Simt who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ’If one likes to increase his seed and children he should eat endives very often.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/205))
