Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْجَلَّابِ عَنْ ٠َاعِيلَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِنَ الْقُولَنْجِ وَ الْبَوَاسِيرِ وَ يُعِينُ عَلَى الْجِ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Musa from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al-Jallab from Musa ibn ’Isma‘il from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of our people who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ’Carrot is protection against colic pain, hemorrhoid, and helps in going to bed with one’s wife.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/217))
