Al-Kāfi - The Book of Food

عَنْهُ عَنِ السَّيَّارِيِّ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠ُبَارَكِ الدِّينَوَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْ٠َانَ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ الْبَصَلُ يُطَيِّبُ النَّكْهَةَ وَ يَشُدُّ الظَّهْرَ وَ يُرِقُّ الْبَشَرَةَ. 4.

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from al-Sayyariy from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Ahmad ibn al- Mubarak al-Daynawariy from abu ‘Uthman from Durust who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Onion gives fine flavor, strengthens one’s back and clears the skin.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/221))
