Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun al-Basriy from abu Tayfur al-Mutatabib who has said the following: âI once visited abu al-Hassan, al-Madiy, Alayhi al-Salam, and I prohibited him from drinking water.
He (the Imam) said, âWhat is wrong with water when it turns food in the stomach, calms down the anger, increases marrows (learning ability) and removes bitterness?ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (22/230))
