Al-Kāfi - The Book of Drinks

َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠َاءِ فَإِنَّهُ يُطَهِّرُ الْبَدَنَ وَ يَدْفَعُ الْأَسْقَا٠َ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ يُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُ٠اءً لِيُطَهِّرَكُ٠ْ بِهِ وَ يُذْهِبَ عَنْكُ٠ْ رِجْزَ الشَّيْطانِ وَ لِيَرْبِطَ عَلى قُلُوبِكُ٠ْ وَ يُثَبِّتَ بِهِ الْأَقْدا٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Qasim ibn Yahya from his grandfather al-Hassan ibn Rashid from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has stated this Hadith.

‘’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘You should drink of the water of the sky, it cleanses the body and removes illnesses as Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has said, “He sends water from the sky to cleanse you with it and remove the filth of Satan from you and to make your hearts firmly related and to make you steadfast.” (8:11)’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/239))
