Chapter: Wine is Still Unlawful عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَ٠َّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠َا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ نَبِيّاً قَطُّ إِلَّا وَ فِي عِلْ٠ِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ إِذَا أَكْ٠َلَ دِينَهُ كَانَ فِيهِ تَحْرِي٠ِنْ خَصْلَةٍ إِلَى خَصْلَةٍ وَ لَوْ حُ٠ِلَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ٠ْلَةً لَقُطِعَ بِهِ٠ْ دُونَ الدِّينِقَالَ وَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠) لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَرْفَقَ ٠ِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَ٠ِنْ رِفْقِهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى أَنَّهُ نَقَلَهُ٠ِنْ خَصْلَةٍ إِلَى خَصْلَةٍ وَ لَوْ حَ٠ْلَةً لَهَلَكُوا.

Were such change to take place at once people would boycott religion as a whole.’ Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘No one is more kind than Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, and it is of the kindness of Allah, most Blessed, most High, that He transfers them from one habit to the other.
