Al-Kāfi - The Book of Drinks

ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ ٠َرْوَكٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الرِّيِّ فِي الدُّنْيَا ٠ُوتُونَ عِطَاشاً وَ يُحْشَرُونَ عِطَاشاً وَ يَدْخُلُونَ النَّارَ عِطَاشاً. 17.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Khalid from Marwak from a man who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘People who quench themselves with intoxicating liquors in this world, die thirsty, will be raised thirsty, and will be sent in the fire thirsty.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/256))
