Al-Kāfi - The Book of Drinks

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَ٠َّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلا٠) قَالَ الشِّطْرَنْجُ ٠4.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Chess is of falsehood.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/308))
