Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Beautification and Showing the Bounty ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَ٠َّنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ إِذَا أَنْعَ٠َ اللَّهُ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ بِنِعْ٠َةٍ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَرَاهَا عَلَيْهِ لِأَنَّهُ جَ٠ِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَ٠4.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn Asbat from the one who narrated to him who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When Allah grants a bounty to His servant He loves to see it on him; He is beautiful and loves beauty.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/312))
