Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Wearing Silk and al-Dibaj (Silk Brocade) َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ الْأَحْ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ لِبَاسُ الْحَرِيرِ وَ الدِّيبَاجِ فَأَ٠7.

Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban al- Ahmar from Muhammad ibn Musiim who has said the folio wing: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘Silk garments are not proper, however, selling such garments is not unlawful.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/334))
