A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu âAbd Allah from al-Husayn ibn Ali al-âAqiliy from Ali ibn abu Ali al- Lahbiy who has said the following: âThe Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, made Ali (a.s.), to wear turban and hanged one end down his front side but made it shorter for the end hanging down his back by four fingers.
He (the Messenger of Allah) then asked him to go back which he did and then asked him to come forward which he also did and then he (the Messenger of Allah) said, âThis is how the Tijan (crown) of the angels is.ââ جÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (22/343))
