Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: The Carnelian (al-‘Aqiq) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ الْعَقِيقُ يَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ وَ لُبْسُ الْعَقِيقِ يَنْفِي النِّفَاقَ. 1.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr who has said the following: “Al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘Carnelian disallows poverty and wearing carnelian dispels hypocrisy.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/357))
