Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about applying dye to the hairs.
He (the Imam) said, âThe Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, applied it as well as al-Husayn and abu Jaâfar, âAlayhim al-Salam, with al- Katam (a plant that looks like myrtle and gives out a black dye).ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (22/374))
