Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عُذَافِرٍ عَنْ عُ٠َرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) إِيَّاكَ وَ نُصُولَ الْخِضَابِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ بُؤْسٌ. 11.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from Muhammad ibn ‘Adhafir from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not allow the hair dye to wear off because it is despair.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/375))
