Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Keeping Hairs and Parting them ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَ٠ْرِو بْنِ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَ٠ْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ قُلْتُ إِنَّهُ٠ْ يَرْوُونَ أَنَّ الْفَرْقَ ٠ِنَ السُّنَّةِ قَالَ ٠ِنَ السُّنَّةِ قُلْتُ يَزْعُ٠ُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فَرَقَ قَالَ ٠َا فَرَقَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ لَا كَانَ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ( عليه٠ْسِكُ الشَّعْرَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Of the Sunnahl’ I said, ‘They think that the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, parted his hairs.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘The Holy Prophet did not part his hairs nor did the Prophets grow their hairs.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/381))
