Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Clipping or Pulling out Gray Hairs ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِجَزِّ الشَّ٠َطِ وَ نَتْفِهِ وَ جَزُّهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ ٠1.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful to clip or pull out gray from the head but clipping is more likable to me.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/390))
