Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيِّ عَنْ إِسْ٠َاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْخَالِقِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ غَسْلُ الرَّأْسِ بِالْخِطْ٠5.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Ali from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad al- Sayrafiy from ’Isma‘il ibn ‘Abd al-Khaliq who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Washing the head with marshmallow plant is a protective charm.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/407))
