Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Undesirability of Applying oil all the Time َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي هَاشِ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي خَدِيجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ لَا يَدَّهِنُ الرَّجُلُ كُلَّ يَوْ٠ٍ يُرَى الرَّجُلُ شَعِثاً لَا يُرَى ٠ُتَزَلِّقاً كَأَنَّهُ ا٠1.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from al-Husayn ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Hashim from abu Khadijah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man must not apply oil every day; a man should look shaggier and not polished and greasy like a woman.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/428))
