3.A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu âAbd Allah from âUthman ibn âIsa from Ishaq ibn Jarir who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about how many times should I apply oil?â He (the Imam) said, âApply oil only once a year.â I then said, âPeople will consider me as living in destitution.â I continued asking if I can apply oil once a month or so but he (the Imam) did not increase.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (2/429))
