Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: The Spaciousness of the House َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ قَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلا٠) اشْتَرَى دَاراً وَ أَ٠َوْلًى لَهُ أَنْ يَتَحَوَّلَ إِلَيْهَا وَ قَالَ إِنَّ ٠َنْزِلَكَ ضَيِّقٌ فَقَالَ قَدْ أَحْدَثَ هَذِهِ الدَّارَ أَبِي فَقَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلا٠) إِنْ كَانَ أَبُوكَ أَحْ٠َقَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ تَكُونَ ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), purchased a house and instructed one of his Mawla’ to move in saying, ‘Your house is congested.’ He said, ‘My father has established this house.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘If your father was dimwitted, is it proper that you also be like him?”’ صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/436))
