Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness Chapter: Fencing Wall Around a Flat Roof of the House َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الْبَيْتُوتَةَ لِلرَّجُلِ عَلَى سَطْحٍ وَحْدَهُ أَوْ عَلَى سَطْحٍ لَيْسَتْ عَلَيْهِ حُجْرَةٌ وَ الرَّجُلُ وَ الْ٠َرْأَةُ فِيهِ بِ٠4.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), disliked a man’s sleeping alone overnight on a flat roof without safety fencing wall around it; and that it is the same for both men and women.’” وثق كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/443))
