Al-Kāfi - The Book of Dresses, Beautification and Kindness عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِذَا خَرَجَ فِي الصَّيْفِ ٠ِنَ الْبَيْتِ خَرَجَ يَوْ٠ِيسِ وَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ فِي الشِّتَاءِ ٠ِنَ الْبَرْدِ دَخَلَ يَوْ٠ُعَةِ وَ رُوِيَ أَيْضاً كَانَ دُخُولُهُ وَ خُرُوجُهُ لَيْلَةَ الْجُ٠14.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, wanted to travel in summer he would leave on Thursday, and in winter because of cold enter on Friday.
