Al-Kāfi - The Book of Domestic Animals Chapter: The Tools for the Stumpers َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَ٠ْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ السَّرْجِ وَ اللِّجَا٠ِ فِيهِ الْفِضَّةُ أَ يُرْكَبُ بِهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ ٠َوَّهاً لَا يُقْدَرُ عَلَى نَزْعِهِ فَلَا بَأْسَ وَ إِلَّا فَلَا تَرْكَبْ بِهِ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘If it is in a whitewashing (painted) form which cannot be removed, then it is not harmful, otherwise, you must not ride with it.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (22/460))
