Al-Kāfi - The Book of Domestic Animals عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ ٠ْرٍو عَنْ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ السِّنْدِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى الْأَزْرَقِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠ِنِينَ ( عليه السلا٠َوْا فِيهَا فَأُخْبِرَ بِذَلِكَ فَجَاءَ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ لَتَكُفَّنَّ أَوْ لَأُسْكِنَنَّهَا الْحَ٠َّ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلا٠) إِنَّ حَفِيفَ أَجْنِحَتِهَا تَطْرُدُ الشَّيَاطِينَ.

He went, stood on the well and said, ‘You must stop throwing things in it, otherwise, I will make the pigeons to use it as their living place.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), then said, ‘The sound of the flapping wings of a pigeon repels Shayatin.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/470))
