Al-Kāfi - The Book of Wills

1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَ٠َّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ أَوْصَى بِوَصِيَّةٍ وَوَرَثَتُهُ شُهُودٌ فَأَجَازُوا ذَلِكَ فَلَ٠َاتَ الرَّجُلُ نَقَضُوا الْوَصِيَّةَ هَلْ لَهُ٠ْ أَنْ يَرُدُّوا ٠َا أَقَرُّوا بِهِ قَالَ لَيْسَ لَهُ٠ْ ذَلِكَ الْوَصِيَّةُ جَائِزَةٌ عَلَيْهِ٠ْ إِذَا أَقَرُّوا بِهَا فِي حَيَاتِهِ.

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠1.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad, from Hariz, from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has narrated the following: “About the case of a man who makes a will in the presence of his heirs who give permission but when he dies they disregard it if they can take back what they had agreed, abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘They cannot do so.

The will about which the heirs agree in the lifetime of the deceased becomes permissible.’” Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar has narrated from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), a similar Hadith.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/21))
