Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu Najran from âAsem ibn Humayd from Muhammad ibn Qays who has narrated the following: âAbu Jaâfar (a.s.), has said that âAmir al-Muâminin once issued a judgment, about the case of a man who made a will and the beneficiary who was absent, died before the testator, that the benefit belongs to the heir of the beneficiary.â He (the Imam) said, âIf one makes a will, regardless of his absence or presence, if the beneficiary dies before the testator, the benefit belongs to the heir of the beneficiary unless the testator changes his will before his death.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (23/23))
