A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad âAbd Allah from ibn Mahbub from Ali ibn Riâab from Muâash from Zurarah who has narrated the following: âI once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who dies owing a debt which is equal to the cost of his shroud.
He (the Imam) said, âHis legacy must be spent to pay for his shroud unless people may come forward to use his legacy in business and pay for his shroud and debts.ââ صØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (3/37))
