Al-Kāfi - The Book of Wills

Chapter: The Executor of the Will Hands over the Assets of Children who were Small, now Adults, but they Refuse to Take Charge, the Children who Become Adults but are not Found to be of Proper Understanding, the Limit of Adulthood 4- عَنْهُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِبَاطٍ وَالْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ هَاشِ٠ٍ وَصَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عِيصِ بْنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْيَتِي٠َتَى يُدْفَعُ إِلَيْهَا ٠َالُهَا قَالَ إِذَا عَلِ٠ْتَ أَنَّهَا لا تُفْسِدُ وَلا تُضَيِّعُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ إِنْ كَانَتْ قَدْ تَزَوَّجَتْ فَقَالَ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَتْ فَقَدِ انْقَطَعَ ٠ِلْكُ الْوَصِيِّ عَنْهَا.

He (the Imam) said, ‘When you learn that she does not destroy it or lose it, then you can give it to her.’ I then asked, ‘What happens if she has married?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘When she marries then possession (authority) of executor of the will ends.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (23/108))
