Al-Kāfi - The Book of Inheritance Chapter: The Legacy is Just for the Eldest Son 2- عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَحَدِهِ٠) أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا تَرَكَ سَيْفاً وَسِلاحاً فَهُوَ لابْنِهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ بَنُونَ فَهُوَ لأكْبَرِهِ٠2.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ibn ’Udhaynah from certain persons of his people who has narrated the following: “One of the two Imam, (abu Ja‘far or abu ‘Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ‘If a man leaves behind a sword and arms and sons, such items belong to the eldest son.”’ كالحسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/131))
