Ibn Mahbub has narrated from Sayf ibn â Amirah from abu Bakr al-Hadramiy who has narrated the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said, âWhen a man becomes an apostate (turns away from Islam), his wife becomes a stranger to him, like an irrevocably divorced woman. If he is killed or dies, before completion of âIddah (waiting period), she inherits during her âIddah.
He does not inherit her if she dies when he turns away from Islam.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (23/229))
