Al-Kāfi - The Book of Inheritance Chapter: The Guardianship of One who Sets One Free 3- أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عِيصِ بْنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِنَّ أَهْلَ بَرِيرَةَ اشْتَرَطُوا وَلاءَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ الْوَلاءُ لِ٠3.

Abu Ali al-Al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from ‘Is ibn al-Qasim ibn Muhammad who has narrated the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ‘A’ishah once said to the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, ‘People of Burayrah have set her guardianship a condition.’ The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has issued this decree.

‘Guardianship rests with the one who buys one’s freedom.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (23/257))
