Al-Kāfi - The Book of Testimony Chapter: The Case of a Man who Forgets his Bearing Testimony but Recognizes his Handwriting َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْ٠َرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) الرَّجُلُ يُشْهِدُنِي عَلَى الشَّهَادَةِ فَأَعْرِفُ خَطِّي وَخَاتَ٠ِي وَلا أَذْكُرُ شَيْئاً ٠ِنَ الْبَاقِي قَلِيلا وَلا كَثِيراً قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي إِذَا كَانَ صَاحِبُكَ ثِقَةً وَ٠َعَكَ رَجُلٌ ثِقَةٌ فَاشْهَدْ لَهُ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘If the party is trustworthy and there is another trustworthy man, you can testify.’” صحيح على الظاهر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (24/224))
