Al-Kāfi - The Book of Testimony 2- عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠ِيلٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ الصِّبْيَانِ قَالَ نَعَ٠ْ فِي الْقَتْلِ يُؤْخَذُ بِأَوَّلِ كَلا٠ِهِ وَلا يُؤْخَذُ بِالثَّانِي ٠2.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Jamil who has narrated the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), if presenting testimony by children is permissible. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, in the case of murder his first words are accepted but not his second ones.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (24/235))
