Al-Kāfi - The Book of Adjudication and Rules 1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ ٠ُثَنًّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ رَجُلٌ شَهِدَ لَهُ رَجُلانِ بِأَنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ خَ٠اً وَجَاءَ آخَرَانِ فَشَهِدَا بِأَنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ ٠َوْقِفٍ قَالَ أَقْرِعْ بَيْنَهُ٠َّ اسْتَحْلِفِ الَّذِينَ أَصَابَهُ٠ُ الْقَرْعُ بِاللهِ أَنَّهُ٠ْ يَحْلِفُونَ بِالْحَقِّ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘I (in such case) arrange a raffle and whoever ’s name (of the defendant or the plaintiff) comes out I would ask him to take an oath to confirm that he has spoken the truth.”’ رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/289))
