2.A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Jaâfar ibn Muhammad al-Ash âariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has narrated the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, âSwearing falsely and sinfully for a binding purpose leaves the town barren.ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (4/309))
