Al-Kāfi - The Book of Oaths, Vows and Expiations Chapter: The Binding Consequence of Oath and Vows َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَ٠ِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ قَالَ لِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ ٠) إِنَّ اللهَ عَلَّ٠َ نَبِيَّهُ التَّنْزِيلَ وَالتَّأْوِيلَ فَعَلَّ٠َهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عَلِيّاً (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ أَوْ حَلَفْتُ٠ِينٍ فِي تَقِيَّةٍ فَأَنْتُ٠ِنْهُ فِي سَعَةٍ.

Thus, if you do certain things or take an oath and swear because of taqiyah (fear), then you are not under constraint.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/319))
