Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from âIsmaâil ibn Saâd al-Ashâariy who has narrated the following: âI once asked al-Ridaâ (a.s.), about the case of a man who swears but his mind is on something other than what he has taken oath for. He (the Imam) said, âThe oath is for that which is in oneâs mind.ââ صØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (4/322))
