Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Hammad from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has narrated the following: âThis is about the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious... I swear by the night when it becomes dark...â (92:2) and â... I swear by the star when it descends downâ (52:2) and so on.
Abu Jaâfar (a.s.), has said, âAllah, most Majestic, most Glorious, swears by anything of His creatures as He wants but His creatures can only swear and take oath by Allah.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (4/330))
