18.A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Shammun from â Abd Allah ibn âAbd al- Rahman al-Asamm from Mismaâ ibn âAbd al-Malik who has narrated the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said that âAmir al-Muâminin, Ali (a.s.), was asked about a man who makes a vow and commitment without specifying anything, has said, âIf he wants he can perform two Rakâat Salat (prayer) or fast for one day or give one loaf of bread for charity.ââ Ø¶Ø¹ÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (24/358))
