Al-Kāfi - The Book - Garden (of Flowers) Chapter: People are of three kinds سَهْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَ٠َانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلا٠) فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى فَلَ٠ا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ أَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ السُّوءِ قَالَ كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةَ أَصْنَافٍ صِنْفٌ ائْتَ٠َرُوا فَنَجَوْا وَ صِنْفٌ ائْتَ٠ُسِخُوا ذَرّاً وَ صِنْفٌ لَ٠ُرُوا فَهَلَكُوا.

He (asws) said: ‘There were of three types – A type who were with the commands and they commanded others, so they were Rescued; and a type who were with the commands but they did not command others, so they were metamorphosed as particles; and a type who were not with the command and did not command others, so they perished’. يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/18))
